Though the weather as of late might suggest otherwise, it is in fact now Spring! Flowers are blooming, skies are getting sunnier, and bathing suits are back in the stores. While we put away our winter clothes and boots, we are also pulling out our skimpier Spring and Summer wear, wondering and hoping it all still fits. Despite our best intentions, heavy sweaters and leggings can cover a multitude of sins. So, whether you are looking to get into a bathing suit, short shorts, or just a sheer blouse, sometimes a visit to your plastic surgeon is in order. It isn’t always easy to know where to start when considering surgical or non-surgical cosmetic services, so we’ve decided to break it all down for you. Each week this month, we will discuss some Spring-worthy plastic surgery plans, starting with one of our absolute favorite procedures–CoolSculpting!
CoolSculpting is a non-invasive permanent fat reduction treatment. It works for areas of pinchable fat like the upper arms, abdominal wall, or those pesky hip and bra rolls. We at the Plastic Surgery Center or Nashville are experts at this technique and are now members of the “Cool Club” having performed over 1000 cycles in our practice. (A cycle is a single treatment of a single area.) CoolSculpting has become so popular at our office, we are now expecting the delivery of our third machine! For a plastic surgery practice who lists liposuction as one of their top five procedures performed, you have to know that we really believe in this technology. More importantly, our patients believe in this technology and are happy with their results, usually coming back to treat additional areas. While Liposuction will always be the gold standard for permanent fat reduction, not everyone will always have downtime that is necessary with surgery. Sometimes it’s easier to take just a lunch hour or afternoon to come sit in our office, binge watch Netflix, and get that fat frozen away!
CoolSculpting should not be considered a substitute for a tummy tuck. Just like Liposuction, CoolSculpting is not a weight loss treatment, and while we see perhaps a little more skin tightening with CoolSculpt than with liposuction, it is not recommended for skin tightening. And like Liposuction, it doesn’t work overnight. Most should expect at least three months to see your final results.
So try on last year’s bikini, and if there is a little more of you now than last Summer, give our CoolSculpt Specialist, Griffin Churchwell, a call at the Plastic Surgery Center of Nashville. Consultations are complimentary and offered Monday-Friday.
What are you waiting for? Pool and lake time are just around the corner!
